Expand the Screen Size

If you want to get more onto the screen you have several options including:

1. Absurd - Buy all your visitors larger monitors
2. Annoying - Use a smaller font which is really discrimination against those of us who rely on thick glasses
3. Hard to find - Make very long pages forcing all users to scroll down and down and down to find what they need

The Cw2 slide panel plugin comes up with the 4th option - only display information when it is asked for.  Show a small tab and when the user clicks on that tab only then do you slide out and display even more information.

Click on the panel button (you supply the text) and the top part of the screen slides down moving the rest of the text downward.  This example show a login section, an ad and a calendar.  The login is a great example of how you save space - maybe only a small percentage of your visitors need this section and all the rest of your viewers don’t have to be bogged down viewing it.  All they see is one small panel button.

In this Panel you can place a variety of content using less space than would normally be required The CW2 slice panel fits perfectly in with the CW2 Templates but it will work just as well with other templates.  As you can see in the example below - you could place advertisements and graphics:
